Welcome to Understanding CSS!

We are happy to have you and hope you learn a lot about using and understanding CSS as you work through and finish this course.

Let me get straight to the point here about what you will get out of this course.

This course is for beginners who want to know more about CSS and do the basics on their own. This is for those who have a general understanding of CSS, but want to sharpen their skills and understand why this works or why that does what it does.

This course is NOT for those who already have a strong grasp of CSS and can do advanced level coding on their sites. You won't get anything out of this course. Sorry...

What's In This Course?

We are going to give you a run down of what CSS means, why we use it, and how to use it.

We will break down the general aspects of styling your website, show you examples of how to do it, and even give you some interactive work so you can try it on your own.

CSS should be fun and once you understand the basics, you can do a lot on your own sites. That's the point.

You're going to learn a few things, which include:

  • Selecting Fonts
  • Styling Fonts
  • Font Colors
  • Link Colors
  • Link Decoration
  • Image placements and styling
  • Content styling
  • Paddings
  • Margins
  • Media Queries
  • Backgrounds
  • And Much More...

We plan on covering all the basics as we can. As noted, you have full access to this course at any time. You don't get kicked out when you finish and you can get free updates as we put them in.

I, personally, look forward to having you in here and I hope you enjoy the course!

As a quick reminder, you will get a lot out of our Blogging on WordPress Facebook group. This is the best place to ask questions as you can help others with your questions. If you're not a fan of using Facebook, you can always contact us at any time.
